Map View Functions
Map Compass

The compass always points North and helps with navigation. It will rotate as you move around depending on yhour heading and Camera Mode.
Camera Mode

This button allows you to toggle the camera mode, which changes how the map view moves based on your current location as you move. Tapping the Camera Mode button will pan the camera to your location and zoom in.
There are 3 camera modes to choose from:
Crosshair icon
The map is fixed with North at the top, and the camera looks straight down from above.
Compass icon
The map rotates to follow your direction of travel, with the camera tilted slightly at an angle.
Arrow icon
The map rotates to follow your direction of travel, with the camera looking straight down from above.
Center Map

The Center Map button pans the map camera back to your current location, without changing zoom. This is similar to the Camera Mode toggle, which (in addtion to allowing you to select the camera mode) pans the camera to your location, but also zooms in.
This button is useful when navigating with the camera zoomed all the way out to see tracks and obstacles ahead but you still want the camera to lock to your location as you move.
Map Scale
The map scale provides a method of judging distances on the map.
