Map Layers/Filters

Newtracs allows you to customise your view by enabling or disabling map layers.

Denotes Premium layers.

• Track Difficulty : Filters tracks by difficulty grade.

• Obstacles & Difficult Sections : Highlights where users have struggled on a trail and major hazards.

• Closed Tracks : Overlays government-sourced trail closures currently only for Victoria.

• Contours & Hillshade : Adds terrain depth for improved navigation (topographic layers).

• Snowline : Highlights all areas above 1000m elevation. Helps you find snow-covered trails.

How to Use Filters

Tap Filter Icon

• Tap the filter icon on the top right corner

• Select the layers you want to show or hide

• The map updates instantly
